Author and artist Hector Curriel will commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day by presenting on his graphic novel, American Ace, and leading an art class.
Hector Curriel is an award-winning Sioux Falls-based artist whose work has spanned cartoons in newspapers, illustrated books for children, and his very own graphic novel, American Ace. Curriel's graphic novel chronicles the early life and military career of Joss Foss, Sioux Falls' leading Marine fighter in World War II. In his presentation, Curriel will explore the trials and tribulations of Joe Foss as he proudly served his country, accompanied by an art class to explore your creative side.
