Dr. W. Carter Johnson will discuss his book, Ecology of Dakota Landscapes, and share the history of the Great Plains and where we go from here.
Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Ecology at South Dakota State University, Dr. W. Carter Johnson's research focuses on landscape ecology, prairie restoration, and the Missouri River. He is also the recipient of awards from the Ecological Society of America and the Environmental Law Institute for his role in prairie restoration. Johnson's research led to the establishment of non-profit EcoSun Prairie Farms.
