
Drop in to chat with library staff about tech questions. Bring your own device or practice with library computers in the training lab.
Services may include the following (depending on staff availability and expertise):
• On-the-spot technology education
• Mobile device technology support
• Basic computer tech support
• Getting around the internet
• Setting up and using email
• Help with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and other applications
• Assistance with frequently used applications such as Libby, Hoopla & the Siouxland Libraries App
• Help with accessing and navigating job applications and other forms
Library Staff are unable to:
• Set up a new device
• Repair or troubleshoot software
• Fix or repair hardware
• Assist with in-depth technology issues or specialized software
• Fill out forms, input sensitive information, or otherwise type or keyboard on a customer’s behalf
• Provide advice on legal, medical, or financial matters
Library staff will determine what meets a reasonable request for tech assistance.
