Learn to braid your child's hair while your child reads.
Children will read books while an adult family member or adult friend learns different braiding techniques. Books can be checked out prior to the start of class.
The instructor is Adrian Ness, certified instructor in both South Dakota and Minnesota for hairstyling and cosmetology. She is a tenured instructor at Minnesota West Community and Technical College.
She will instruct the adult members of the class on several types of braiding and braided hairstyles. Handouts and supplies will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hair styling items. The suggested items to bring are a brush, comb, elastic bands/hair ties, bobby pins, clips (optional), water bottle (optional), hair spray (optional), and detangling spray (optional).

For kids in grades K-5. Earn special bead for Summer Reading Program necklace for attending. Teens are also welcome to attend.
Registration is required. We will consider offering a second session at a later date if the demand exceeds the number of seats available.
