Join us for a virtual discussion about the Dakota War of 1862 with author Phyllis Cole-Dai. See instructions below in venue details.

Phyllis Cole-Dai is the author of the novel Beneath the Same Stars, which offers insight to the Dakota War of 1862. Told from the perspective of Sarah Wakefield, a witness to the first day of the conflict, it explores a largely forgotten history of this part of the country.

The program is presented in partnership with the South Dakota Humanities Council. Books by this author can be purchased at https://phylliscoledai.com/store/  or wherever books are sold.
