In Victorian England, WS Gilbert wrote light hearted poetry and Arthur Sullivan was a decorated English composer. Their collaboration resulted in 14 light-hearted comic operas. Known for their undeniably catchy tunes, puns, social satire and physical comedy, Gilbert and Sullivan operas have been produced continuously around the world.
