Author C.K. Van Dam will talk about her latest book, Lone Tree Claim and women on the frontier.
Author C.K. Van Dam creates stories about strong pioneer women, inspired by history. Her debut novel received two Spur Awards from Western Writers of America: Best Western Romance and Best First Novel. As a presenter for the South Dakota Humanities Council, Van Dam uses interviews, letters home and journal entries of women pioneers to provide a glimpse at their lives. Registration is required.
