The Siouxland Libraries' Reading Invasion is a celebration of our love of reading, our beautiful public parks, and our spirit of community and gathering as readers.

The idea is simple: bring something to read and “invade” a beautiful public park. This isn’t a book club; just a time to come together, to enjoy the act of reading, and to be reminded that reading is an essential element of our lives.

So bring a book and bring a friend, and join us for an hour of reading, relaxing, and gathering.

While you're here, check out books from the Bookmobile.

Then you are invited to stay and enjoy the Municipal Band perform Big Hair Big Sound songs from the 1980's
