Help us set a new world record for the most people reading the same book in one day!

We're going to set a new world record by reading Evelyn Del Rey is Moving Away. Evelyn Del Rey Is Moving Away, written by award-winning author Meg Medina and illustrated by Sonia Sanchez is a celebration of lasting friendship, the power of connection, and encountering change. Contact Stephanie Bents (sbents@siouxfalls.org) to request a link to a video recording of the reading or watch a live reading of the story:

  • Vanessa Gomez from Dakota News Now will read the story on Facebook Live at 9 A.M.
  • KELOland Living will do a live reading of the story at 2 P.M.
  • Aldi Bonander from Siouxland Libraries will read the story on Facebook Live at 2 P.M.

You can also read the story on your own at the Downtown Library (200 N Dakota Ave), Oak View Branch (3700 E 3rd St), Prairie West Branch (7630 W 26th St), and Ronning Branch (3100 E 49th St). Pick up a Take and Make activity packet from any Siouxland Libraries location while supplies last.
