In this personal account, Johnson offers readers a peak into life in the '50s and '60s in Sioux Falls, meanwhile exploring the unimaginable things that take place at a hardware store when no one is looking.
Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Ecology at South Dakota State University, Dr. W. Carter Johnson's research focuses on landscape ecology, prairie restoration, and the Missouri River. He is also the recipient of awards from the Ecological Society of America and the Environmental Law Institute for his role in prairie restoration, and Johnson's research led to the establishment of non-profit EcoSun Prairie Farms.
